At the larger sizes phone rows put their buttons underneath the text instead of squeezing it, and the guide's timeline widens so programme names don't get cut short.

• Guest links and the short link now work from inside the house too: phones on the home Wi-Fi are sent to the hub's home address (most routers can't reach their own public address from inside), and the hub's certificate now covers that home name. Existing hubs pick up the new certificate on their next check.

Each source keeps its own stream limit (the provider's connection count, the tuner's tuner count), the guide gains a source filter when more than one is on, and recording conflicts are worked out per source.

• Watch away from home: Settings → *Watch away from home* gives your hub its own address (`https://<name>.atvhub.net:8591`), a short link to text to a phone, and a real certificate, then asks your router to open one port — so the companion works on mobile data, not just your Wi-Fi. Off by default, and it stays greyed out until the companion has a password. Video still goes straight from your PC to your phone. Getting the certificate can take a minute or two — the panel says so and keeps waiting rather than giving up, and "Test again" always picks up right where it left off instead of starting over.
• When away access is on and working, the phone panel and Settings show a third QR code labelled "Away from home" alongside the two Wi-Fi ones.
• If your hub can't be reached, the panel says which of the two things to do: forward TCP 8591 on your router, or (when your provider shares one address between many homes) use a Tailscale tunnel instead. "Test again" re-checks after you've changed something.
• Away access keeps itself working: the address is re-published every hour and whenever your network changes, the router mapping is re-created, and the certificate renews a month before it expires. "Turn off" gives the name back, closes the port, deletes the certificate and clears everything stored.
• Sign out everywhere: one button in Settings logs every phone and browser out of the companion.
• Support for HDHomeRun over-the-air tuners: add a lineup URL when setting up an M3U provider and the app detects the tuner, sets your stream limit to its tuner count, and shows channel numbers like 5.1 in the guide and on the phone. (#249, #250)
• Stream failure messages now explain what actually went wrong (a busy tuner, a channel not found on the provider, a timeout, and more) instead of a generic "loading failed". (#251)
• Find your hub: Settings and a new Phone button show QR codes and addresses (armadillo.local or your IP) for connecting your phone to the companion server without typing an IP by hand. (#252)
• What's new after an update: the first launch on a new version lists every change since the version you last ran (Help → What's new shows it any time).
• Household profiles: up to five people share one install, each with their own favourites and Continue Watching. Set up in Settings → Household — give a profile a colour, a Kids flag, TV/movie age limits, whether unrated titles are allowed, and categories to block. Switch with the new "watching as" button on the status strip.
• A limited profile hides what it isn't allowed in the guide and refuses to play it, and switching to one stops anything already on screen that's over its limit.
• The household PIN (the old parental PIN) is now what's asked for when you switch from a limited profile back to Everyone — switching profiles is the act it guards. While a limited profile is the one watching, Settings' Household controls (and Reset to defaults) are locked behind that PIN too, and the PIN can't be changed from inside a limited profile.
• The old category lock is folded into profiles: a Kids profile starts pre-filled with the categories you had locked, and the guide's 🔒 button is now the profile switch.
• Recording priority: every recording, timer and season pass is Low, Normal, High or Must record. When more recordings overlap than your connections allow, the Library now tells you exactly which one will be skipped and what beat it, instead of warning about all of them. Change any row's priority from the list it's in.
• Higher-priority recordings can take over: if a recording is due and every connection is busy, the DVR stops a lower-priority capture already running to make room. The stopped recording keeps what it captured (it plays like any other), is marked Pre-empted, and says which recording took its slot.
• Season passes can record new episodes only, skipping repeats and episodes you already have, and can keep recording for a few extra minutes at the end for a show that always runs long. Both are set when you create the pass, or later from the Timers tab.
• Sports overrun: recordings of sport keep going for an extra 30 minutes by default, so a game that goes to extra time doesn't get cut off. Change it in Settings → DVR padding.
• The guide shows the season and episode number for an airing, and marks repeats with an R, where your provider's guide data includes them.
• Allow lists: a profile can be limited to "only these" instead of by age rating. Pick Allow list in the profile editor, then Edit allow list… to tick channels, whole categories, series and movies — with a search box and a running count. A ticked category admits everything in it and a ticked series admits its episodes; everything else is hidden from the guide and refused at play. Useful when your provider sends no age ratings, which the Kids warning now points at.
• Skip ad breaks in recordings: play a recording and a "Skip ad" button appears on the status strip whenever you reach a detected commercial break, counting down what's left of it. Click it or press N to jump past the break, and an Undo offer stays up for eight seconds in case it guessed wrong. The Library marks recordings that have breaks. Nothing is cut out of the recording — skipping is only a jump. Turn on Settings → Ad breaks to have breaks skipped automatically.
• My Library: films and episodes you already own show up in the guide next to everything else. Point Settings → Library at the folders you keep them in and they appear at the top of Movies with a "Library" badge, searchable, with the poster and plot borrowed from the catalogue when the title matches. Files are never copied, moved or renamed — the library just references them where they are.
• Library files named like episodes ("Nature Hour S01E02") are also grouped into a show on the Shows tab, in season and episode order.
• Settings → Library: add or remove watched folders, choose how often they're re-scanned, import one-off files from anywhere, or scan right now. The scanning runs in the recording host, so a film dropped into a watched folder is picked up even with the app closed.
• Add a recording to your library: every finished recording now has an "Add to library" action, and a season pass can do it automatically for everything it records. A promoted recording keeps its ad breaks, so Skip still works on it.

• Settings has been rebuilt. It now opens inside the main window instead of as a separate box — your screens keep playing behind it, and Esc (or Close) puts them back. Everything is sorted into seven sections down the left — Sources, Household, Recordings, Library, Phone & away, Playback, About — with one unhurried column on the right instead of eleven boxes stacked in one long scroll. There is no Save button any more: changes save as you make them, and a small "Saved" confirms it. Anything you set once and forget now sits under a collapsed "Advanced" at the bottom of its section.
